Court Farm

This was a large farm and barn conversion in Olney, Bucks. The client wanted to soften the new building works and add structure to the recently landscaped front garden. The only stipulation was that the client expressed an interest in Birch trees.

The idea was to create a light birch woodland with multistem birch as understorey whilst maintaining the prominent views across their land. The variations in bark colour contrasted very well against the barn conversion.

It was important to screen the large sidewall of the new barn so we strategically positioned 5 large hornbeam standards so as to screen the building but maintain views from the top windows.
