In rural exposed locations security is always important. Our client needed screaning to 2m in high but due to the isolated position they wanted something to act as a deterrent.
We suggested Hawthorn (crataegus monogyna) 2m tall and 60cm wide. This acts as a great secure boundary, very difficult to get through and fairly fast growing.
We installed 60m in two days and it looks like the hedge has been there for 10 years.
